They play a major role in the execution of our year-long program, from facilitating live sessions and mentoring the girls with their projects.

“It’s been such a great honour to be a part of this program. I am so thankful for the opportunity to use my knowledge to guide and teach the next generation of female programmers. And to show the “magic” of programming to hopefully inspire girls to consider a future in science and engineering.”
“I personally feel the module content are relevant and informative for the students. The use of Classcraft boosted the interactivity with students while keeping them from being bored. Although unable to assist the students in-person, it is still a pleasant experience for both facilitators and students.”
“This GET program is definitely an amazing program which helps me to improve my soft skill and have a chance to connect with the younger generation. I hope and wish the girls would able to know how would this engineering and technology field looks like, let them know about doctor, lawyer, teacher are not the only few options for them so that they will able to make their right decision after they graduated.”
“This GET program connected me to a lot of secondary school girls. I believe for the participants this is a very unique experience as well to have older sisters from the industry to share them knowledge and experiences. Industrial visit is truly something that is meaningful and I learned a lot through communicating with the girls throughout the program.”

“A very generous approach to cater the MCO situation and usage of classcraft to keep the students interested. This platform serves as a start for students to generate their interest with the world of science and technology. Involvement of mentors and facilitators from the related industry itself in this project is really helpful as the students can ask and gain fresh feedback from the SME.”

“GET plays significant roles in encouraging and provide platform to young generation to take part and break the barrier in our social norm. Active participation among the young girls has bring the program outcome closer to its objective. Understand the reason behind lack numbers of women involvement in science and technology even in decision making roles, GET obviously in significant position to address this. “SO MUCH FUN learning with the girls! Without much technical knowledge and experience, I’m glad that I can still participate as a facilitator in GET. “GET is a good program in grooming the female students to embark into the world of science, engineering and technology. My involvement in the program as facilitator is to share my knowledge and facilitate the discussion among the students. I get the chance to learn new knowledge, and practice my skills in facilitating small group discussions. I am really thankful for the opportunity and support from the organizing team and my company. I hope this program will be able to increase female involvement in making a change to the world.”
“As a facilitator, it’s a rewarding experience to guide the younger generation and see their interest and positive attitude towards STEM education. The GET program is an excellent platform for young girls to experience out-of-the-classroom environment in nurturing their interest in STEM subjects. At the end of every modules, I found that the learning was both ways. Students and facilitators learned from each other through the interaction, brainstorming and sharing session.”
“GET program expose me with new soft skill program (i.e. mentoring skill) and I can use it in my career to guide my subordinate. “Being with likeminded people with the same purpose of advocating STEM to young girls is personally fulfilling. Having multiple modes of delivering the content (via virtual, face-to-face, projects, talks, workshops, etc.) gives an insight similar to actual industry practise and enhances the learning experience for both volunteers and students.”
